  • Credit Crunch Is No Excuse, Says St Modwen - article from Feb 12 2008 issue of The Birmingham Post in which St Modwen's chairman Anthony Glossop gives an interesting insight into the company's prospects in the face of the current economic downturn. Includes the quote "A lot of property companies just hold on to land but we never buy a property just to hold on to it."
  • Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council Environment & Planning Section - includes information on the criteria on which Dudley councillors will judge the St Modwen's Coombes Wood development proposals against when submitted.
  • Friends Of Coombes Wood Online Petition - Show your support, it only takes a quick minute to sign. It may be signed anonymously if wished; leave a comment if you feel the need to blow off some steam.
  • Halesowen News - excellent and detailed coverage of the Coomeswood proposals so far.
  • Halesowen North Councillors - all contact details including surgeries, addresses, telephone nos and email. At this stage of the St Modwen's proposed project, writing to or emailing these people about  objections is the the most useful action that can be taken. Don't rely on everyone else - nothing impresses councillors more than sheer numbers. Remember that Barratt's greenbelt speedway development proposals for Halesowen South were very recently stopped dead in their tracks by only 90 letters. The fact that these swung more weight than a 10,000 signature petition submitted by speedway fans from all over the UK proves the power of the mighty pen.
  • The Monarch's Way - excellent fact-packed website detailing The Monarch's Way long distance footpath news and information.
  • WriteToThem.Com - write to local councillors the easy way. Simply enter your postcode and this site will automatically do everything else for you except the typing of the letter body.
