Friends' Good Omen As Barn Owl Returns To The Wedge

 The night before April's meeting Friends Wildlife Officer Caroline Watkins was thrilled to see the return of the Coombeswood Barn Owl after not being seen for a while:-

've just been for a walk and low and behold - the Coombeswood Barn Owl is back.
Just had the most wonderful encounter with him/her, watched him feeding for quite a while, all over the threatened site.
If you have ever seen these beautiful birds you will know what a privilege it is to sit and watch as they hover about in ghostlike fashion. Really stunning !

Dont know yet if there are a pair or whether its alone but will keep you updated.
Will attempt to get some pics also.

If anyone does sight the barn owl or any others, including other interesting species, can you let me know as I'll add it to the wildlife sightings which I now plan to log for the website.

If you could let me know;
Date, approx time, location of sighting and what was seen that would be great.
Any pics also appreciated.
